Blog address in visiting card

Are you a blogger? Why do you blog? How long you been blogging? Do people visit your blog regularly? What do you do to make a brand out of your blog? What do you do to get more visitors to your blog?

All the above questions are relevant to the one who is serious about blog, blogger, blogging. I am certainly taking it seriously these days as I am trying to share my experiences using this platform. Blogs are easily accepted due to its definition, personal views, which is neither time nor quality depended. I have taken a further step by adding my blog address to my visiting card.

  1. Try to get rajeshrana if it is possible and let me know, i can host it with my server for you. Rajeshrana is a good site to have. it wil cost you just $9 per year. Thanks for the wishes.

  2. As I said you can try iamrana.com or iamrajesh.com also, it sounds a little odd initially but then it passes both phone test and billboard test.

  3. sir what about

ranatic.com don’t it pass phone test and billboard test…and from where we can do these tests..coz i searched godaddy but could’nt found…

do u have any other suggestio other than my name….

  4. these tests are not available, it is just you need to perform. ranatic.com is not good as you will have spell the word each time when you call, neither it passes the billboard test.

  5. I was trying to solve an issue I’ve been having with htaccess files on a webdav server.
I came across this forum that you posted on a while back and this sounded similar to
    my problem.

I can’t access my webdav folders when i have .htaccess files in them. I tried adding
the line suggested to each of my htaccess folders but had no luck. I’m running windows
xp (not sure if that has anything to do with that), and am using the htaccess files with
modrewrite to rewrite my url’s. Here is an example of one of my htaccess files.

    RewriteEngine on
    RewriteCond %{REQUEST_METHOD} !^PROPFIND$
    RewriteRule ^$ app/webroot/ [L]
    RewriteRule (.*) app/webroot/$1 [L]

It’s been a real pain trying to test different methods to get it to work since I can’t
even upload .htaccess files (possibly a windows issue), so I have to upload it with
a different name (works without the ‘.’) and email the server admin to rename it
for me. Anyway thanks for your help.

  6. Hi Aji,

My take on the whole idea of adding address details/personal contact details doesn’t sounds a great ones..especially with data privacy being the top most agenda on most of the co’s list and also to add to that fact that more than 17 million people were
duped by identity theft, I really see the idea of exposing address details a little risky ones.
I think adding blod address and email address are fine but not the rest of it. Well it’s my opinion though, I might be totally wrong here.
    What say u ?

    Amit Asthana
